Martin Higgins - follow up
Following message from Mike Hancock:
"I have just managed to speak to Lucy May, one of Martin's 3 daughters. Martin passed in early December in hospital in Gloucester of Covid related illness. He contracted Covid in hospital after being admitted for heart problems. His funeral has been held and if anyone wishes to watch it (only 30 were allowed to be present), they can watch it on U Tube - the contact for details is Alan Soares (his carer), whose email is alan65soares@gmail.com
Lucy also told me that Martin had loads of Russian and other language books which she is happy to let RAFLING members have (after the house clearance happens, which at the mo is on hold). Interested members can contact her on 01377 232889."

Sad News - once again, we are the bearer of sad news. Martin Higgins, who began his career as a linguist with the RAF in the mid-1950s and was a long-time member of the Association, passed away at the end of December. Everyone who knew and worked with him will affectionately remember him for his superior knowledge of languages and his quiet assuring manner. Our heartfelt condolences go out to family and friends. RIP Martin.
