John Farrington Funeral Arrangements
In order that as many of you as possible are informed of the funeral arrangements for John Farrington, I am reproducing an entry placed by Jim Goodwin on Facebook.
Jim Goodwin has written:-
I've copied this across from Katie Farrington's post:
Dear all, Dad's funeral will take place on Tuesday 24th November, 11 am at St Michael's Catholic Church, 82 Hartford Road, Huntingdon, PE29 1XG.
Dad will be buried at a local cemetery but we are asking for this to be family only. However, we promised Dad a good send off and so would be pleased if you would join us at the Comrades Club, 58 Cambridge Street, Godmanchester, Huntingdon, PE29 2AY afterwards.
Dad was extremely proud to have served his country so if any of you would like to wear your medals or berets you are welcome to do so.
Mum has requested no flowers but we have set up a Just Giving page in Dad's memory for Macmillan and Help for Heroes. If anyone would like to make a donation we would be grateful and we know Dad would be over the moon to still be making a difference. Our only small request is if you could try to keep the funds raised as equal as possible (we have had to set up two pages, one for each charity).

The following is a copy of a message posted on the RAFling Facebook site by Jim Goodwin -
'I've just come off the phone speaking to Margaret Farrington. I'm sorry to report that John passed away yesterday morning Saturday 7 Nov) having fought illness for some time. Funeral details to follow and will be arranged by their family who were all there with him.
A first class man, full of heart and goodness and I'm proud to be classed as one of his many friends. R.I.P.'
