Original address of the Irish Pub 1974-1977 period

Sounds like the beginning of a joke, but they were not brothers. The original guys who opened up the pub in Eisenacher Strasse were Paddy, Mick and Sean (I kid you not). They fell out with Sean, who left and opened up his own place in Steglitz. I think he passed away a few years later. Phil Boyle and I lived around the corner in the same building in Nollendorfstrasse, and he and I actually 'discovered' it just after they had opened. I have photos somewhere from my leaving 'do' in 1976 and will post them if I can find them. There might be some well-known faces to be seen. It's not impossible Mick Louth was even on one of them, he was there with us quite a few times. It's a bugger losing old friends.

Thanks for the update - many a happy evening spent there trying to drink my
way through the "Guinness black list" a Guinness poster with the various
combinations of Guinness starting with a "Black velvet". I wonder if any of the
the members has any photographs of the place ?. I've been back to Berlin
twice since I left in late 1977, once in the eighties when the wall was still up with
some friends and again in the late 90's but never did manage to find out if
the pub was still there.

John Donnelly asked me to post the following info about the (original) Irish Pub in Berlin - heis pretty sure it is on Eisenacher Str., off Martin Luther Str. near KaDeWe. John recalls that the pub was run by 3 brothers and was a popular haunt of Gatow personnel and BA staff at Tempelhof. They eventually had a falling-out and 2 of the brothers then opened the Irish Pub in the Europa Centre.

A general request to anyone who can remember the address of the ( I believe) original Irish Pub in the Period
1974 - 1977 ?
