There's a jeep at my door...

(It was good to see the photo of Tom Fitzpatrick at the 54 SU reunion. I wonder if he remembers stumbling into an impromptu drinks session in my room in 19A one Christmas night in 1971 with a bassett hound in tow. He stunned us all by playing 'Stormy weather' on my hired-from Piano Kaiser black upright - criss-crossing his hands and all. Incidentally, when I left Gatow, I passed the piano on to Robin Smith (the hire fee paid for six months ahead plus the cost of removal back). Robin then got married and moved out of the block and 'my' piano found its way to the Rugby Club. The beat-up old thing they switched it with resulted in a huge bill for repairs finding its way to me back in Blighty some months later.

Ah, what memories...
Cheers all
Sturge
