On Friday 24th January 2014 Gordon Ide died in Cheltenham General Hospital, aged 86. Gordon was a Chinese linguist who trained at Pucklechurch. He served in Hong Kong, accompanied by his wife Mary, son Stephen and daughter Christine. When he left the RAF Gordon joined GCHQ in Cheltenham and remained there until his retirement in 1987.
The funeral is at the Cheltenham Crematorium on Tuesday 11th February at 3.15 pm.
